Leeds joins in the fun of National Play Day

Child Friendly Leeds is going live online as part of this year’s National Play Day on Wednesday, August 5th.

Families can join in the fun with an amazing line up of entertainment streamed live at #ChildFriendlyLeeds from 11am-12.30pm. There will be some fantastic performers including BoomChikkaBoom, Rainbow Factory and active workshops with DAZL, along with CBBC star Alex Winters.

Participants are also encouraged to #GoOrange for the day with a free online activity pack full of ideas to decorate, create, bake, and make all things orange. People might also find a few ‘orange’ surprises in the city centre and parks if they are out and about.

There are fantastic prizes to be won for the best #GoOrange pictures (including hotel stay and vouchers) so remember to share snaps on social media using the hashtags.

LeedsBID is also supporting National Play Day with a Leeds Jurassic Trail ‘digital eye’ trail around the city centre – great fun for families coming in for the day.

Simply hunt out the nine Jurassic eyes appearing on digital screens around the city centre and identify the letter on each eye which then spell out a secret word. Just share a photo online alongside your answer using the #leedsjurassictrail and #GoOrange to stand a chance of winning a Jurassic gift hamper.
