LeedsBID helps highlight apprenticeship opportunities
Over 120 national and regional employers will be heading to Leeds this March for the biggest apprenticeship recruitment fair in the region.
Supported by LeedsBID, Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair takes place on Monday 6th March at the first direct Arena from 4-8pm, marking the start of National Apprenticeship Week.
The event involves employers such as ITV, Jaguar Land Rover, Jet2.com, the NHS, British Telecom and Aldi, and showcases a range of exciting apprenticeship opportunities on offer in sectors including financial services, health and care, retail and leisure, travel and tourism, sports, arts and the media, and engineering, manufacturing and construction.
Andrew Cooper, LeedsBID Chief Executive said: “LeedsBID is delighted to be investing in this important event for the city, helping to highlight the opportunities apprenticeships can provide for young people as well as the range and quality available in Leeds.”
“A key part of our work is liaising with all organisations on the city’s skills agenda, looking at stimulating and supporting business interest in training such as apprenticeships to improve employment opportunities, and then working to ensure we retain skills and talent in the city.”
Last year’s event attracted over 5,000 people, with the recruitment fair offering the perfect opportunity for young people, parents and carers to find out more about the opportunities available, which lead to a paid job offering quality training.
