We’re looking for someone to join our team, to work along the Operations Manager in the day to day running of the street ranger service and creating a more vibrant, cleaner and safer city centre. You will also provide a highly visible, customer facing street presence, responding and reacting to business requests.
The Basics
- Working 5 days over 7, 37.5hrs per week on a shift pattern
- The ranger service operates 363 days a year.
- Salary £27,620
- Company health scheme, pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Based in Leeds city centre
The Role
- Support the Operations Manager on a day-day basis on all Ranger Services & activities
- Reviewing of and promoting good work processes and procedures
- Ensure BID rangers follow work instructions or directives as requested
- Develop supplier contacts on all operational requirements
- Support all BID event logistics as required
- Support Ops Manager on 1-1’s , coaching and feedback
- To maintain Health, Safety and environmental compliance, and quality standards,
- Reporting and recording any incidents and accidents in line with procedures whilst following RAMS and Safe Systems of Working
- Support Ops manager with Ranger budgets/spend
- To understand monitoring/reporting systems and their uses
- Report on all vehicles status’s and reporting back to Ops Manager
- To engage with Levy payers, promoting LeedsBID and services
- Attend Meetings where relevant
Essential Requirements
- Have a full clean driving licence.
- Be over 21 years of age to meet our insurance criteria.
- Have supervisory experience (2 yrs)
- Have a working knowledge of RAMS
- Excellent communication skills and to be comfortable with people in a range of situations.
- Be a self-starter, a problem solver and a good team player.
- Strong Computer skills, Microsoft Office Proficient

- ISOH Training / COSHH Training
- Manual Handling
- First AID
- IPAF Licence
- All PPE and uniform will be supplied by LeedsBID
- All necessary training will be provided
