We’re looking for someone to complete our Street Ranger team, to work alongside businesses to help create a cleaner and safer city centre. LeedsBID Rangers provide a highly visible, customer facing street presence, responding and reacting to business requests.

The Basics

• Working 5 days over 7, 37.5hrs per week on a shift pattern
• The service operates 363 days a year.
• Salary £25,620
• Company health scheme, pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Based in Leeds city centre.

The Role

• You will be working as part of a team, reporting into the Operations Supervisor, to undertake deep clean work using jetting equipment, responding to business needs in the LeedsBID area.
• Provide a visible presence in the city centre, giving excellent customer service and to provide a warm welcome to everyone in the LeedsBID area
• Be ambassadorial, friendly & knowledgeable about Leeds and LeedsBID by responding to requests for information, directions and promoting Leeds as a great place to be.
• Be able to communicate professionally face to face and by telephone/radio
• Ensure weekly, monthly check sheets and records are completed digitally
• Support the promotional, marketing and events activities of LeedsBID.
• Respond to concerns raised by levy payer and non-levy payer businesses within the LeedsBID area.
• Undertake individual Street Ranger project responsibilities.
• Conduct regular visual audits, report health and safety hazards, respond to cleaning issues
• Portray a professional and responsive image of yourself and LeedsBID.
• Work collaboratively and closely with a variety of businesses and city partners.

 Essential Requirements

• To have a full clean driving licence.
• Be over 21 years of age to meet our insurance criteria.
• Excellent communication skills and to be comfortable with people in a range of situations.
• Be a self-starter, a problem solver and a good team player.
• Be competent with technology and recording data.
• To enjoy working outdoors in all weathers.

Desirable

• NEBOSH / ISOH Training / COSHH Training
• Manual Handling
• First AID
• IPAF Licence

All PPE and uniform will be supplied by LeedsBID.

All necessary training will be given.
