Established in 2015 as the 200th UK BID, Leeds continues to boast the largest multi-sector Business Improvement District outside of London. Every BID must have a five-year business plan, which gets endorsed through a renewal. This ensures that LeedsBID delivers on its promises and allows levy paying businesses an opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the BID every 5 years.
LeedsBID is now asking its levy paying businesses and organisations in the city to actively endorse its Chapter 3 2025-2030 business plan by voting YES. A positive endorsement ensures LeedsBID can continue to invest £18.3m back into Leeds city centre over the next 5 years for the benefit of all business sectors.
The business plan clearly establishes LeedsBID’s strategic direction over the next 5 year from 2025-2030. These are:
Leeds is experiencing an exciting time of development and transformation and LeedsBID wants to ensure it keeps in step with the growth of the city. It is therefore proposing that for 2025-2030 the BID boundary changes to encompass businesses, particularly in the waterfront area of the city. The waterfront is now becoming a natural expansion to the city centre with new investment and infrastructure already underway.
All levy paying businesses will receive a physical BLUE ballot paper from Thursday 10th October 2024. Simply tick yes to vote for a third term of LeedsBID and then return all the BLUE ballot paper(s). Businesses may receive more than one ballot paper – please return all papers.
Ballot papers can be returned via the post box in the Civic Hall, using the SAE provided or LeedsBID can help with collection – simply contact 0113 467 2780.
