A unique city-wide experience which gave an unforgettable summer adventure for families and fans of Lewis Caroll's Wonderland Awaits

Inspired by the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll, Wonderland Awaits invited visitors to explore Leeds city centre like never before. Over five enchanting weeks, the city was transformed into a fantastical playground filled with surreal installations, eccentric characters, and interactive storytelling.
With seven immersive zones scattered across key locations, people were encouraged to go down the rabbit hole and follow in Alice’s footsteps encountering theatrical performances along the way. From the Mad Hatter’s tea party and Cheshire Cat to the Queen’s Croquets and the Jabberwocky – each installation offered a unique blend of play and imagination.
In collaboration with Cuddle Creative Works, Wonderland Awaits built on the success of MONOPOLY Leeds Takeover, drawing thousands of families and curious minds into the heart of the city. The trail not only brought joy and wonder to Leeds, but also delivered a significant economic boost reinforcing the city’s reputation for bold and creative placemaking.
