LeedsBID Summer Roadshow rolls out.

LeedsBID Summer Roadshow rolls out. A Leeds welcome - Welcome Host Alex Henderson and LeedsBID Chief Executive Andrew Cooper with the new Welcome to Leeds digital media vehicle.

LeedsBID is providing a distinct welcome for those people coming into Leeds, focusing on the importance of the visitor experience.

As Leeds hosts the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), the BID (Business Improvement District) is ensuring that visitors, including the 6,000 delegates in town for the conference, receive a warm and distinct introduction to the city.

Its Welcome to Leeds platform, the official guide to the wider Leeds story, celebrating all that is great about the city, has a pop-up presence in Leeds Station and Leeds Dock as well as an interactive activity hub in Leeds Corn Exchange where people can pop in to learn more about what’s on offer in the city.

Out and about across the city, its Welcome Hosts are on hand for that more personal welcome, providing a friendly face, essential tourist information while helping people navigate their way across the city. And in addition, the new Welcome to Leeds digital media vehicle can be spotted at key locations, conveying essential daily information as well as advertising city events and activities. The fully electric vehicle, fitted with solar panels, is the first of its kind utilised by a Business Improvement District in the UK.

LeedsBID Chief Executive Andrew Cooper said:

“It is essential to create and maintain a great city centre experience for those who visit Leeds as well as for those who live and work here. We want to give everyone, including the 6,000 delegates descending on the city this week, a warm welcome and lasting good impression of being in Leeds.”

“In Leeds, we are seeing real change and transformation to future proof the city, from the high street to developments across the city from Sovereign Street to the Southbank. It’s exciting to be able to show everyone how the city is working collaboratively to raise its profile and to tell its story.”
