Welcome to Leeds stage makes return for Leeds Jazz Festival

Welcome to Leeds stage makes return for Leeds Jazz Festival

Leeds Jazz Festival is back and making its return for the fourth year is the Welcome to Leeds stage.

Running over the May Bank Holiday from Friday 23rd-Monday 26th May, this free outdoor, family- and dog-friendly music festival spotlights local talent and bring world-class, accessible culture right into the centre of the city.

One of its most popular fixtures is the open air Welcome to Leeds stage, which is proudly produced by LeedsBID, Welcome to Leeds and Sound Channel, with support from Arts Council England and Eiger Studios.

Situated between The Light and Henry Moore Institute with its own seating area, it sees Cookridge Street transformed into a musical hub complete with deck chairs, delicious food from local bars and restaurants and an array of street food, and a stacked lineup of artists and DJs curated in collaboration with Leeds Conservatoire, Launchpad, DJ Lubi, Not a Thing and JazzLeeds.

For young jazz fans, Play Tent will also be on-site besides the stage offering family activities alongside the music on Saturday between 11am –3pm, again all free.
