In July, Leeds will host the largest multi-sport festival for businesses, featuring an impressive 20 different sports to choose from you’ll be spoilt for choice. Whether you prefer go-karting, dragon boat racing, football, netball, paddle tennis, open-water swimming and cycling, there are plenty of options for every interest.
The event will take place on the 25th to the 28th of July, all centred around the University of Leeds. Conveniently located just a short 5-minute stroll from Merrion Street and a mere 10-minute walk from Trinity Leeds.
In a conversation with Ryan Johnson, the Director of Sport and Communication at the UK Corporate Games, we discussed the impact of COVID on the Corp Games and the subsequent adaptations made. Notably, discussions also touched upon the spirit of teamwork fostered by the Corporate Games, with teams often living beyond the event and continue their sports group long after the games have concluded.
Alastair Brownlee MBE, two-time Olympic Triathlon Champion recently became an Official Sport Ambassador to the 2024 UK Corporate Games and he spoke about the Games saying “I am delighted to be the official ambassador of the 2024 UK Corporate Games in Leeds. It’s a fantastic initiative to inspire people in the business community to be active. The events will attract healthy competition on the field of play and I’m sure new friends will be made outside of competition. No doubt all the competitors will enjoy the legendary Leeds hospitality.”
