Well, what a year it’s been!

As 2021 draws to a close on a wobbly, too familiar end, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on what will be one of the most unique times for the city.

It has been a privilege to be able to support so many businesses (levy payers and others) throughout the turbulence of last year and, exciting to have been able to deliver so many exciting things once restrictions eased in the summer.

Our event highlights have been the Leeds Jurassic Trail 2 (expanded from 2019 with 13 animatronic dinosaurs), the Leeds Piano Trail (with Leeds International Piano Competition), Leeds International Festival of Ideas (replanned, and moved to September), Dear Leeds (with the fabulous James Glancy Design Ltd) and of course, a bumper Christmas offer .. of which there’s more later.

It’s certainly been exhilarating this year, not possible without the dedicated team at LeedsBID and amazing partners- you know who you are!

It’s now time for a rest, to hang up our stockings and spend time with our loved ones so we can be back in 2022 to do it all again.

Opening Hours

LeedsBID (Briggate office and the Engine Room) is closing its door over the Christmas and New Year period from Friday 24th December 2021 and reopens on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

The Street Rangers are also taking a break on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The rangers are working from 27th-31st December 2021 and 2nd-3rd January 2022 from 6am-12pm before normal service resumes. For all rangers enquiries they can be contacted direct on 07508 253580.
