MONOPOLY Leeds Takeover is now officially live with the unique city-wide experience promises an unforgettable summer adventure for families and fans of the iconic board game.

Leeds city centre has transforms into a live-action MONOPOLY board, offering immersive gameplay and interactive fun for all ages.

Brought to life by LeedsBID and Welcome to Leeds under license from Hasbro, MONOPOLY Leeds Takeover invites players to explore 22 key locations, solve puzzles, play mini-games, and discover giant tokens scattered across eight themed zones. The event celebrates Leeds’ rich gaming heritage, paying homage to the city where the UK’s MONOPOLY was produced by Waddingtons.

People simply need to pick up a map from locations across the city centre and start playing. Participants can collect stamps, win prizes at the Chance and Community Chest locations, and even compete for getaway packages at the red hotel located at The Junction.

There are also a host of additional activities to get involved with including a special Waddingtons display in Leeds City Museum, weekend workshops hosted by the Bank of England at Waterstones and mathematical games at MathsCity.

Over the launch weekend, people were welcomed by Mr MONOPOLY at Trinity Leeds, who officially launched the MONOPOLY Leeds Takeover on Saturday

and thousands of players picked up their maps and embarked on the MONOPOLY adventure.
