New city centre team out on the streets during festive season

The introduction of a new city centre team to help ensure the retail experience in Leeds city centre was both safe and welcoming for those coming in over the festive season and beyond.
The Leeds City Centre Response Team provided a daily on-street presence in the fight against high street theft, supporting businesses as well as local law enforcement agencies.
Responding to calls for help from city centre businesses, the team was funded by LeedsBID, working with West Yorkshire Police, Safer Leeds, BACIL (Business Against Crime in Leeds) and businesses.
