Showcasing all that is great about the city, Welcome to Leeds is the official guide to the wider Leeds story. This fast growing platform telling the stories of the city celebrates and supports its world-class events, organisations and people through journals, podcasts, features, films and more.

The roaring success of Leeds Jurassic Trail and a bear-ly special partnership to help deliver the Leeds Bear Hunt are among the free interactive family friendly events animating the city. And coming this Summer is a world-first – a city centre version of Monopoly, celebrating Leeds’ links to the renowned board game.

A responsive resource helping support the city’s diverse sectors, Engine Room offers training and skills support in addition to the invaluable provision of free meeting and networking space for BID levy paying businesses – all in the heart of the city centre.

The annual outing of LeedsBID’s Summer Roadshow brings deckchairs and seasonal fun to the city’s office sector as it travels between key sites, enticing people away from their desks at lunchtime to enjoy an array of games and live entertainment.

Injections of colour and creativity transform walkways and important entry points like Buttons Yard and Little Neville Street, with the addition of artistic assets helping shape the city. A sprinkling of pea-lights across the city centre brings illumination to much needed public areas.

Presenting that all important personal welcome to the city centre, the arrival of the new Welcome Hosts ensures a warm, friendly and distinct introduction, helping visitors discover the delights of the city centre and enhancing people’s overall experience of being in Leeds.

A commitment to collaboration enables the joining of forces and resources, working together with multiple partners on initiatives to address specific city centre issues and improve outcomes, as seen with the response team helping combat retail crime over the festive season.

Helping Leeds shine in its festive glory, a most illuminating festive projection captivated the city at Christmas. Magical Night at The Queens celebrated the season in grand style with the 3D audiovisual projection onto the iconic hotel enthralling the thousands who gathered to experience the magic.
