Leeds International Festival of Ideas is a vibrant celebration of innovative thinking, bringing together leading visionaries, pioneers, and experts from around the world.
Leeds International Festival of Ideas (LIFI24) is a celebration of new ideas, presenting a programme of captivating conversations and stimulating discussions led by prominent thought leaders, pioneers, specialists and imaginative minds from around the globe.
LIFI24 brought four days of powerful talks and panel discussions to Leeds Playhouse, with an impressive array of speakers including global superstar Nile Rodgers, media personality Carol Vorderman, former news correspondent Kate Adie, Busted bassist Matt Willis, presenter and former reality TV star Rylan Clark, music producer and DJ Goldie, GMTV’s Kate Garraway, model and passionate advocate for autism awareness and acceptance Christine McGuiness, TV doctor Amir Khan and Professor Tim Spector to name but a few of the 36 speakers who graced the stage.
With a line-up of 10 events – 5 panels and 5 fireside chats – the festival delved into pressing issues of the day, exploring addiction, AI, the impact of reality TV, neurodiversity, care, alongside the evolution of creativity, gut health, misogyny, danger zone reporting and influencing – aiming to spark dynamic conversations and foster meaningful connections among participants and audiences.
Back at Leeds Playhouse following the success of LIFI23, LIFI24 saw 600+ more tickets sold across the 10 events, with 5,500 people coming through the doors. Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive, driving LIFI social media engagement and impact to new heights and spreading the word about the festival beyond Leeds and to new audiences.
LIFI24 undoubtedly made its mark on the city and provided an enormous contribution to the place marketing of Leeds as an exciting, bold and innovative city to experience.
The festival was an extraordinary celebration of diverse thoughts, unique perspectives, and a melting pot of ideas so what comes next ……LIFI25 of course with work on next year’s festival to start soon.
